BOB Air Command™ works with most drones that can output video either through HDMI or through wireless screen casting.

Best Performance – HDMI Output

For the most reliable and lowest-latency connection, Air Command works best with controllers that provide direct HDMI output.

These setups deliver a true real-time video feed and are ideal for professional work.

Common HDMI-compatible controllers include:

  • DJI RC Pro

  • DJI Smart Controller

  • DJI RC Plus (Enterprise)

 

Compatible drones using these controllers:

​

  • DJI Mavic 3

  • DJI Mavic 3 Pro

  • DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise Series

  • DJI Inspire Series

Controller HDMI → Air Command HDMI input

Wireless Drone Connections (WiFi / Screen Mirroring)

Some drone controllers and mobile devices do not provide a direct HDMI output. In these cases, video can still be displayed on BOB Air Command™ using wireless screen mirroring or casting from a phone or tablet running the drone flight app.

Important:

 

The phone or tablet being used must support screen mirroring or casting to an external display device (such as Chromecast or similar). Not all devices or apps support this reliably, so compatibility should be verified in advance.

Common drones that use wireless device connections include:

  • DJI Mini 3

  • DJI Mini 4 Pro

  • DJI Mini 4K

  • DJI Air 2S

  • DJI Air 3

  • ​

These setups typically require a WiFi connection or wireless display adapter to mirror the mobile device to the Air Command screen.

Because wireless connections rely on network access, they work best when a stable WiFi source is available in the field.

Why BOB Relay™ Can Be Helpful

When operating in remote environments without internet access, BOB Relay™ can provide a portable connectivity hub for your setup.

Professional Recommendation

For the best experience with BOB Air Command™, we recommend using a drone controller that supports native HDMI output, such as the DJI RC Pro or DJI Smart Controller.
